Holiday Harp Extravaganza XVI
Come join harpists throughout Southern California!

We will meet again in the long central lobby of the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and play for assembled staff, patients and guests.
Harpists of all ages and all experience levels, with lever and pedal harps of all sizes, join to perform a program of Christmas, Hanukah and general-interest harp ensembles planned by Extravaganza director Elaine Litster. Parking passes are provided for PARTICIPANTS to park free; others may attend to listen, but pay for their own parking in the hospital garage.
PARTICIPANTS: Arrive at 11:15 a.m.
Bring your own harp, stool, music stand and music (scroll down for music specifics, or download flyer.)
The music is arranged for one to four harps; select whichever part you desire. Feel free to play one or two hands as ability allows. It is not necessary to play every song, just those you are comfortable with

. Teachers are encouraged to bring their students and play along with them. Much of the music can be played as a solo and can be used throughout the holiday season. All music is playable on a lever or pedal harp.

Triptic Dance

This work is arranged for two or three harps. Part three requires a pedal harp. The work comes with three parts included. No sharps or flats needed for parts 1 & 2. Quarter note = 60.
Winter Processional

This solo work in the key of C has no lever changes (accidentals). This stirring solo can be used year round. Chords are listed throughout, and harpists are welcome to adlib a 2nd part. Quarter note = 88.
Suo Gân

Welsh carol in the key of C is arranged for two harps. This haunting melody was featured in the movie, “Empire of the Sun.”
The Skaters Waltz
Arranged for two harps, this piece is a show stopper. Music comes with 2 parts & ensemble copy. Key of C. 1st harp has a F# and B flat lever/pedal change. Lever changes not necessary for glissando at end of piece.

These beautiful, new arrangements provide the ensemble copy, with separate parts following. Arranged for three harps, 1st part is the most difficult, with the 3rd part the easiest. Both songs are in the key of G minor, requiring B flats.

Carol of the Bells
