In April 2010, auditions were held for scholarships underwritten by the Valeria Finzi Memorial Fund. Thirteen young harp students played for the committee of harpists Alison Bjorkedal and Ted Nichelson and flutist Boglarka Kiss. Monetary awards were made to four of the most outstanding entrants.
Our 2010 Music Education sessions were held in January and February at the First Baptist Church, Pasadena. Eight harp students played for harp teacher Linda-Rose Hembreiker in a master-class type setting, got her suggestions to improve their performances, and returned at the second session to show her the progress they’d made.
